The President of the Lower House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos–PB), said yesterday that a constitutional amendment is the “best way” to address the reduction of the workweek, as it allows for broader debate. On Monday, Motta submitted the constitutional amendment proposal (PEC) that would eliminate the 6x1 work schedule to the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ). The House approved an urgency request for the bill establishing Redata (Special Tax Regime for Datacenter Services). It provides for the suspension and subsequent exemption of federal taxes on the acquisition of machinery, servers, and technological components intended for data center infrastructure. Today, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) may review Claim of Noncompliance with a Fundamental Precept (ADPF No. 1,183) challenging the creation, by the Federal Audit Court (TCU), of the Secretariat for External Control of Consensual Resolution and Conflict Prevention (SecexConsenso).
