Last week, President Lula announced that he might visit the United States during the week of March 15. Following the attacks on Iran, however, there are doubts about that schedule. The conflict between the United States and Iran has become part of the presidential race. Flavio Bolsonaro said the Brazilian government’s position is unacceptable for aligning itself with Iran. Today, President Lula is expected to meet with Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) and Finance Minister Fernando Haddad (PT) to discuss the races for governor and senator in São Paulo. The state is considered strategic for Lula’s reelection project. On Monday (March 2), the Lower House approved the bill authorizing the installation of pharmacies or drugstores inside supermarkets (PL 2158/23). The text requires that products be sold in a designated area and with the presence of licensed pharmacists.
