Revelations about the conversations between the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, and the authorities continue to emerge and are generating repercussions in Brasília. According to journalist Malu Gaspar, one of the last messages Vorcaro sent on the day he was arrested, November 17 of last year, was to Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes. Today also marks the start of the party-switching window, the period during which holders of federal, state, and district deputy seats may change political parties ahead of the October elections without risking the loss of their mandates. The window closes in early April. On Tuesday, Supreme Federal Court President Justice Luiz Edson Fachin will meet with the presidents of all Brazilian courts to discuss judicial compensation, addressing the issue of so-called “extra compensation benefits” for judges.
